We had an amazing experience here! We ordered the seafood boil and the seafood platter, and both were absolutely delicious – fresh, full of flavour, and generous portions. It’s also a really family-friendly place, great for kids, which made it even better for us. The owner herself served us and she honestly couldn’t have done more. She was so welcoming, attentive, and made sure we were completely happy with everything. You can tell she really cares about her customers and the food she’s serving. On top of all that, the prices were unbelievable for the quality and amount of food – such fantastic value. Highly recommend this gem of a place – we’ll definitely be back!

We’ve been in loads now, we had a seafood boil which was tremendous, prawn cocktail was fresh and plenty and right now we in having clam chowder which is a lovely hug in a bowl with sourdough to dip. Come in and support a new local business even if it’s just for a beer, glass of wine or a cocktail 🍹

Arrived at The Mermaid Lounge after a walk through The Cuckoo Trail. Serena gave me a warm welcome and was very hospitable. This is a new business specialising in fish dishes. I’m going to return to sample her cuisine as she is offering something a bit different. I really enjoyed my lunch which was very reasonably priced so look forward to trying one of the fish dishes.

This cute little cafe/restaurant really has something for everyone. The mermaid aesthetic is fab, and we loved the crockery that matched the theme. We had a light vegetarian lunch and some delightful cocktails, but there were so many options. The owners were lovely; the welcome we received was exceptional and they were happy to cater to our needs. Additional bonus is that they are incredibly dog friendly - our pups were well loved whilst there!

Amazing food, wine, atmosphere and host! We had a platter to share with items we chose, it was delicious and a great selection and choice of food, the cheesecake for dessert was delicious too! Would definitely recommend!
